Subjects Taught
First Grade

In 1992, I graduated from Johnson C. Smith University with a  bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

2005, I received my Master's Degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College.

2007-2009, I enrolled at Walden University and took courses in educational leadership.

I have been teaching first grade for 24 years at Waccamaw Elementary School in Pawleys Island, S.C.

I was born and raised in Georgetown, South Carolina. I am happily married and blessed with 5 beautiful children. I enjoy going to church, reading, singing, listening to gospel music, and going to the beach.

I have been teaching for 24 years. I truly enjoy teaching because of the passion and desire that I have for all students to learn and grow in an abundance of knowledge in all subjects. I believe that all children can learn. Therefore, my job as an educator is to provide a caring and nurturing environment that is conducive to learning.
